The National Aquatics Centre welcomed the public with a brand new look to herald the upcoming Chinese New Year in Beijing, sporting a series of loong-themed installations. Dubbed the “Water Cube,” this contemporary architectural landmark has been attracting worldwide attention since 2008. It was constructed to host the aquatics events of the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics and now serves as a public aquatics center featuring a water amusement park and a range of professional sports facilities.
