A community in Taiyuan, the capital of north China's Shanxi Province, has launched a spring couplets writing activity among residents to welcome the upcoming Chinese New Year. Over 20 calligraphers and enthusiasts participated in the event. Community officials said the composed spring couplets will be provided free of charge to all residents.
