The European Council on Tuesday imposed sanctions on Hamas Gaza chief Yahya Sinwar, the latest leader from the group, "as part of the EU's response to the threat posed by Hamas and its brutal and indiscriminate terrorist attacks in Israel on 7 October 2023," the EU Council stated on X.
