Bold, bright and beautiful: Colorful lanterns are festooning Bailuzhou Park in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Amid the current pre-Spring Festival season, a lantern festival is being prepared in east China, drawing nighttime visitors with the allure of glowing light. A total of 68 sets of themed lanterns of different shapes and sizes are on display in the park, divided into five exhibition areas. It is understood that some of the lanterns are inspired by a classic painting titled "Colorful Lanterns at Shangyuan," a work dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
