Live updates: Medicine, humanitarian aid to reach Gaza under new deal

- France and Qatar brokered a deal between Israel and Hamas to allow in humanitarian aid for Gaza civilians and Israeli captives, the first such agreement since a truce ended on December 1, 2023.

- A batch of medicine and other humanitarian aid has left Doha and arrived in Egypt on Wednesday for delivery into the Gaza Strip.

- The Israeli army said on Wednesday that it killed a top Palestinian militant in an air strike in the occupied West Bank.

- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly said on Tuesday that the war against Hamas is expected to continue into 2025.

- According to Gaza health ministry, over 24,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
