These roses define resilience. Set in a two-meter-high, 15-meter-wide ice wall, hundreds of bouquets of roses have bloomed behind crystal-clear ice at the Chinese Baroque historical and cultural block in the Daowai District of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. As throngs of visitors pour through Harbin in northeast China amid its peak tourism season, a few are passing by to view the bright red and purple roses, a symbol of the city's eternal romance.
