Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency, on Thursday praised China's achievements in the field of clean energy and its contributions to the world.

Interviewed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, he said the rapid development of clean energy, such as renewable energy, electric vehicles and green hydrogen, has exceeded many people's imagination. He added that China is currently a leader in solar energy, wind energy, electric vehicles, new nuclear energy and a champion in many other fields.
