China welcomes the good progress that Iran and Pakistan have made in repairing their ties, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a regular press briefing in Beijing on January 23.
Wang's remarks came after the foreign ministries of Iran and Pakistan issued a joint statement, announcing that the ambassadors of Pakistan and Iran will return to their respective posts on January 26, and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian will visit Pakistan on January 29 at the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani.
