Delicate loong, or Chinese dragons, top flower buns in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, bringing with them the allure of Chinese New Year celebrations. Fresh from a bakery in the city's Qilihe District, these flower buns were made with pumpkins and other vegetables and fruits, giving them festive colors. As the holiday period approaches, themed flower buns such as these have been spotted in an increasing number of bakery windows.
