Now for the fourth instalment of our Xinjiang sojourn, one that takes our three amigos east to pay homage to a crucial crossroads on the ancient Silk Road. As they discover, interconnectivity has always been a reality here - generations of travelers along the trade route have left their enduring cultural footprint. The only difference between then and now is that the railway and livestream have supplanted the camel caravan and the calls of the merchants - a timely reminder that "connection" has always been the soul of this place.
