Turquoise-like lake embedded on the 'roof of the world'

"Co" means "lake" in Tibetan. Sitting at 3,700 meters above sea level, Basum Co is one of the largest among over 1,000 lakes in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. It is the largest glacier-dammed lake in southeastern Xizang, where the modern glacier landform is well developed. The lake is famous for its turquoise-colored water, which also manifests different shades with the change of seasons.
