A deadly landslide that struck a remote village in southwest China's Yunnan Province has left 34 people dead and 10 missing, according to the latest information released by the emergency response headquarters. At the busy rescue site, crews from the Ministry of Emergency Management deployed drones in an effort to locate buried survivors by detecting signals from their mobile phones. As local temperatures remain low, local governments have arranged over 220 tents, 700 cotton-padded quilts and 200 folding beds for the affected residents. Over 900 residents have been shifted to safe locations in the area.
