The death toll from a landslide that struck a mountainous village in southwest China's Yunnan Province on Monday had climbed to 43, local authorities said Thursday.

One person remains unaccounted for. 

The landslide occurred at 5:51 a.m. on January 22 in Liangshui Village in Tangfang Town, Zhenxiong County.
