The first snow of the year surprised both Chengdu residents and giant pandas in southwest China's Sichuan Province. At the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Sichuan Province, a group of giant pandas was spotted enjoying some leisure time in the snowy landscape. The base is one of the world's leading institutions for giant panda conservation, scientific research and breeding, education and cultural tourism.
