Barbecue skewers and chopsticks have been given a new lease of life as craftworks in the hands of a resident of Zhuhai, south China’s Guangdong Province. After disinfecting and drying the used tableware, craftsman She Xiaoguang uses the disposable items to create intricate models of dragon boats, classic garden structures and furniture, and even a flower with round petals. Once a student of oil painting, She developed his concept of upcycling disposable tableware to boost environmental protection efforts.
