The Sacramento Kings defeated the Golden State Warriors 134-133 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California, on Thursday, ending their eight-game losing streak to the Warriors on the road.

The Kings led by only one point when there were 22.1 seconds to go. Jonathan Kuminga turned the ball over, so the Warriors had to foul Kevin Hureter, who missed both free throws and left the opponents about 15 seconds for the final rally.

The Warriors didn't call their timeout left, even though they failed to launch an early offense. Stephen Curry got the ball on the right wing. He was guarded by De'Aaron Fox when he dribbled to the left, where Hureter was waiting to double-team him. Fox poked the ball out of Curry's hands before he could make his next move, sealing the deal for the Kings.

Curry shot 13-for-26 from the field to score a team-high 33 points for the Warriors. Five of the six triples he made happened in the first quarter. Since the Kings had Keegen Murray guarding him in the second half, he found it less easy to shoot off the dribble from downtown. In response, Curry increased his charging of the paint in the final two quarters, going 6-for-8 within the 3-point line. However, his mistake at the end of the game was still too absurd to defend.

The best performer for the Warriors on Thursday night was Kuminga, whose size, power and athleticism were too much for the Kings' defenders to contain. He made 12 of his 19 field goal (FG) attempts to get 31 points off the bench. Nonetheless, he was outshined by former Warrior Harrison Barnes, who knocked down seven triples to get a career-high 39 points. He reached double-digit points in two quarters and managed to make big shots every time the Warriors came close to tying the score.

The two teams combined to drain 41 triples at 48.2 percent. Neither side had good enough defensive resources to completely neutralize the other's sharp offense. The Warriors' advantage was in the superb individual abilities of Curry and Kuminga. The Kings' edge was their long list of solid firepower provides. The team had six players score double-digit points, and they went 20-for-41 behind the arc.

Though both Barnes and Fox had more points on Thursday night, Domantas Sabonis continued to play as the King's offensive spine with 18 points, eight rebounds and 13 assists. Not only did he set up enough easy buckets from both inside and outside for his teammates, he barely let the team down in finishing as he made eight of his 11 FGs.
