Nauru, a Pacific Island nation, became the 183rd country to forge diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. CGTN anchor Xu Qinduo has talked to Riddell Akua, the permanent secretary of the Nauru government. He looks to growing ties between Nauru and China. While physical visits have been limited so far, Nauru is eager to upgrade the airport, bringing new opportunities for people-to-people connections. "Hopefully, we'll be able to go to China, and there will be enough attraction for Chinese to visit Nauru to see how Nauru is," Akua said.
