Nauru, a Pacific Island nation, became the 183rd country to forge diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. While physical visits have been limited so far, Nauru is eager to upgrade the airport, bringing new opportunities for people-to-people connections. "Hopefully, we'll be able to go to China, and there will be enough attraction for Chinese to visit Nauru to see how Nauru is," Akua said.
