Today, January 27, marks 60 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France. Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for stronger ties between the two countries in his video address to a reception in Beijing celebrating the anniversary on Thursday. High-level exchanges between China and France have underpinned their growing bilateral ties. Last April, Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted French President Emmanuel Macron on his state visit to China. The leaders of the two countries have sustained close communication on relations and pressing global and regional issues. Gao Yiming reports.
