Self-driving police patrol vehicles begin road tests in Beijing

00:53

Self-driving police patrol vehicles have been approved for road tests in Beijing for the first time. Following police orders, the self-driving vehicles traveled along a designated route, and transmitted real-time images back to police officers, enabling them to respond immediately to calls for help or in the event of accidents. The vehicles carry security and rescue equipment, including explosion-proof clothing, fire extinguishers and first-aid kits, and police officers can also open their doors remotely to respond to emergency situations.
