Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin in Bangkok and signed a bilateral visa-free agreement. The visa exemption for Chinese and Thai visitors is set to take effect on March 1. Professor Song Qingrun from Beijing Foreign Studies University says the visa exemption will facilitate personnel exchanges and promote tourism, investment and trade.
