Hundreds of sets of colorful lanterns have been lit up at a scenic area in Zigong, Sichuan Province, to mark the 30th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival. Featuring celebrations for the Year of the Loong, or Chinese dragon, this year's festival will officially kick off on February 2. During the event, a range of performances from acrobatics to folk arts and folk music will be staged to celebrate the romantic fusion of lanterns and traditional Chinese culture.
