A traditional Chinese Lantern Fair kicked off at Yangliuqing Ancient Town to welcome the upcoming Chinese New Year in Tianjin, showcasing a variety of illuminated lanterns and attracting visitors to soak up the festive atmosphere. Located in the Xiqing District of the city, Yangliuqing Ancient Town was once an important commercial hub along the Grand Canal with a history dating back over 1,400 years ago. Today, it is famous for its rich cultural heritage and traditional local handicrafts, from paper-cutting and calligraphy to New Year woodblock prints.
