Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday afternoon received the credentials of 42 ambassadors to China at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

After the ceremony, Xi delivered a speech to the ambassadors.

Xi told the ambassadors that China values its friendship with peoples of their countries, and is willing to expand mutual beneficial cooperation with them to promote the development of bilateral ties.

Xi expressed hope that the ambassadors will have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China and act as a bridge between China and their countries.

He pledged to provide convenience and support for the ambassadors to perform their duties.

Noting that 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Xi said China is advancing the cause of building a great country and national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization, offering a broader market and unprecedented development opportunities for the world.

China will, as always, contribute Chinese wisdom and proposals for the cause of peace and development, promote an equal and orderly multipolar world and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization, as well as the building of a global community of shared future, he added.
