More mountains have been covered in snow in Bortala, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, as the cold spell continues. At the foot of the mountains, the Dongdujing River runs through the valleys for a stretch of 56 kilometers. Snow has also blanketed the Sarbast Grassland in the suburbs of Bortala's capital city of Bole. About 28 kilometers away from the grassland sits the beautiful Sayram Lake.
