Back in the old days, people would go to big outdoor fairs in an activity called "ganji" in Chinese to buy everything from new clothes to candy. With the proliferation of online shopping and supermarkets, these outdoor fairs now mostly only exist in the countryside, where rural residents go for cheaper prices and urban dwellers go for the experience.
