An article on forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, will be published on Thursday.

The article by Xi, also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will be published in this year's third issue of the Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee.

Forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation is to guide people of all ethnic groups to uphold the vision of a community with a shared future by standing together through thick and thin, the article says.

It notes that the Chinese people of all ethnic groups have embarked on a new journey toward building a strong China and realizing national rejuvenation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization since the 20th CPC National Congress.

In the pursuit of building a great modern socialist country in all respects, no ethnic group should be left behind, the article says.

It is important to draw on the long history of the Chinese nation and strengthen the development of theories for the Chinese national community, according to the article.

The article calls for efforts to develop modern civilization for the Chinese nation and foster a sense of belonging for the Chinese nation.

It is crucial to promote extensive communication and interactions among different ethnic groups and cement the great unity of the Chinese nation to advance Chinese modernization, the article says.

The article stresses the importance of telling well the stories of the Chinese nation and promoting a sense of community for the Chinese nation.
