The Investigative Committee of Russia says the Il-76 plane that crashed in Russia on January 24 was shot down by an MIM-104A missile from the Patriot system, RIA reported on Thursday.

The committee also tried to identify the dead. "The results of genetic examinations allowed us to make an unambiguous conclusion about the belonging of the seized body fragments to six crew members, three military police officers and 65 Ukrainian military personnel," RIA reported, citing the committee.
