Livestreaming commerce has created another wave of boom in China ahead of the Chinese New Year. Data shows that livestreaming e-commerce platforms have created over 30 new professions and sparked a substantial increase in employment opportunities along the entire supply chain, connecting the digital and real economies.
In south China's Guangzhou City, livestreamers are busy with "Chinese New Year Shopping Festival" sessions. CGTN's Liu Xiaoxian visited two Guangzhou-based livestreamers and their companies to learn more about how livestreaming e-commerce has injected impetus into the country's economy.
