The performance of Luoshan dragon, a 400-year-old traditional dragon dance of Lishui District in east China's Nanjing, is scheduled to start from February 5 ahead of Year of the Dragon.
Widely recognized as one of the largest dragons in southern China, the Luoshan dragon, which is usually made in the color of white, measures 100 meters long with a 2.7-meter-high and 2.2-meter-wide dragon head, and requires 500 performers in total.
The huge dragon Luoshan dragon performances normally occur between the 24th of the twelfth month and the 18th of the first month of the traditional Chinese calendar to celebrate Chinese New Year, or Spring Festival.
