Lichun, or the Beginning of Spring, is the first of the 24 solar terms on the Chinese lunar calendar. On February 4, 2024, the day of the Beginning of Spring, we're going to "Look for and Speak of the Dragon" to usher in the Year of the Dragon. We'll start from the dragon-shaped Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block in western Beijing, then up the mountain to look for Snowdragon, or Xueyoulong, and explore the Olympic Park to find the dragon-shaped aquatic system, before walking through the Longqing Gorge in Beijing's Yanqing District to view ice sculptures in the shape of a dragon. Follow along through our lens to discover unexpected tourist attractions related to dragons and feel how the Chinese people rejoice with the "dragon" at New Year. Watch live to start the spring and begin a vibrant new year!
