People in northern and eastern Chinese provinces are making steamed buns around the Xiaonian Festival to welcome the Year of the Dragon.
Xiaonian, or "Little Chinese New Year," falls on the 23rd or 24th day of the last month of the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, marking the start of the countdown to the Chinese New Year.
