A series of ice-themed events was held in Baishan City, northeast China's Jilin Province, between January 30 and February 3.

The main event was a 21-kilometer-long race for skaters on a 12-meter-wide surface. The organizers also set up other competitions including a running marathon, cycling marathon on snowfields, as well as ice dragon boat racing.

Over 7,000 people from all over China registered to participate in the different events, which attracted some 30,000 tourists as part of the pre-celebrations for the upcoming Spring Festival.
