Xishuangbanna is home to one of China's largest tropical rainforests, and is a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Unique geographic location and climatic condition create a highly sophisticated ecological network which harbors numerous endangered, endemic species. Other than the country's largest herd of wild Asian elephants, there are many unknown wild animals.

Living in and around the protected area are the Dai, Hani, Lahu, Bulang, Jinuo and Jingpo ethnic groups. The residents make good use of natural materials to build better lives. They have integrated traditional ecological perspectives into their lifestyles and daily living, reflecting colorful and diverse ethnic cultures.

Tomorrow, CGTN Nature will release its new series, "Journeys in Nature: Melodies of Nature Series", taking you to explore the mysterious land. Stay tuned!
