Kashgar in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has been selected as one of the four sub-venues for this year's China Media Group Spring Festival Gala. Prior to gaining access to the gala's backstage, CGTN reporter Xu Jinhui ventured into the ancient city of Kashgar, where she tried local cuisine, immersed herself in a diverse cultural tapestry, and embraced the lively spirit of Xinjiang.
