China's meteorological authority on Wednesday renewed a blue alert for blizzards, forecasting intense snowfall in Hunan and Jiangxi provinces. It says some respite will come later in the week. Zhang Hengde, deputy director of the National Meteorological Center, said there will be no widespread low temperatures, rain, snow, ice, or persistent hazy, disastrous weather over the Chinese New Year Holiday.
