The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s Supreme People's Assembly has voted to scrap all agreements signed with the Republic of Korea (ROK) on promoting economic cooperation, the official KCNA news agency reported on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the assembly, which takes formal steps to adopt policy worked out by the ruling Workers' Party, voted to eliminate laws about economic relations with Seoul, including the legislation governing the Mount Kumgang tourism project.
On January 16, 2024, DPRK announced to abolish its agencies handling inter-Korean affairs, according to KCNA.
The assembly issued the decision on abolishing the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, the National Economic Cooperation Bureau and the Mount Kumgang International Tourism Administration, agencies designed to facilitate inter-Korean dialogue, negotiations and cooperation.
