A blast hit Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Thursday afternoon, leaving at least two security personnel dead and eight others injured, official sources said.
A vehicle of paramilitary forces came under attack near the Lijjay area of Kharan district of the province, official sources told Xinhua, adding that the personnel were deployed on the security of a polling station in the district for the ongoing general elections.
Following the attack, rescue teams, police and security forces reached the site and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
Local police said that an improvised explosive device was planted along the roadside and was detonated with a remote-controlled device.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
