As China is celebrating the Spring Festival, many foreign leaders have extended their greetings for the Year of the Dragon.

They expressed best wishes to Chinese people and voiced expectations for the future of their countries' relationship with China.

Speaking to China Media Group (CMG), Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said the dragon brings prosperity, luck and power.

"2024 is a perfect year to promote partnership," said De Croo, referring to the bilateral relationship between the European country and China.

"Happy Chinese New Year," said Vice President of Liberia Jeremiah Koung while sending greetings to the Chinese people.

"We the people in Liberia say we appreciate the people of China for all the work you continue to do for us. And we continue to work with the people of China to benefit both our countries," said Koung.

Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar wished the Chinese people a happy and peaceful Spring Festival.

"I wish that China will make great progress and development in various fields in the new year," Tuggar said to CMG.

"I wish that the friendship between China and Nigeria will become stronger and the people of Nigeria and China join hands to move towards a better tomorrow," he added.
