The 2024 China Media Group Spring Festival Gala has dazzled viewers around China and the world. This year, singer-actor Lay Zhang performed at one of the sub venues in his hometown of Changsha. CGTN reporter Cao Chufeng caught up with him backstage, where he told her how important it is for him to take part in the Chinese New Year's Eve event. He also shared his wishes for the Chinese New Year with audiences.
