People celebrate Tibetan New Year with dancing, art shows


Saturday also marked Losar, the first day of the year in the Tibetan Calendar. People in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region have held a series of activities, including "village evening" galas, and New Year painting exhibitions. The celebration of the Tibetan New Year usually lasts 15 days.
