Indonesia has requested World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute consultations with the European Union (EU) regarding the EU's imposition of definitive anti-dumping duties on imports of fatty acids from Indonesia.

Indonesia claims the measures at issue appear to be inconsistent with a number of provisions of the WTO's Anti-Dumping Agreement and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994.

Fatty acids are used in a variety of consumer products, as well as industrial lubricants.
