The outer dome of Unit 1 at the first nuclear power plant in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, powered by a Hualong One reactor, has recently completed its acceptance appraisal, according to the China General Nuclear Power Group. The Taipingling Nuclear Power Plant in Huizhou City of south China's Guangdong Province will be powered by six nuclear units using the Hualong One reactor. Upon completion, the six units will be able to generate more than 50 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually, which will save 15.12 million tonnes of standard coals.
