China's CGTN and Pakistan's national broadcaster PTV World have co-produced a special program on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to analyze its significance and the influence it has had.
In the first part of the program, reporters introduced viewers to key infrastructure projects constructed under the CPEC – such as the Karakoram Highway, the Gwadar Desalination Plant, the Gwadar International Airport and the Pakistan-China Friendship Hospital – explaining to them the positive influences these projects have had on Pakistan's economy and the livelihood of its people.
Pakistan's Ambassador to China Khalil-ur-Rahman Hashmi also shared his views on the economic cooperation between the two countries and responded to the West's charges of "debt trap" against China.
