During the Spring Festival holiday (from February 10 to 18), museums throughout China have seen a significant increase in domestic visitors, attributed to the diverse array of special events organized by these institutions.

In response to the overwhelming demand for tickets, the Chengdu Museum has expanded its daily ticket quota by 2,000 starting from February 14, to ensure that more people could enjoy their offerings.

Museums in China have hosted a vibrant array of cultural activities, inviting people to step into the museums to celebrate a culturally rich Spring Festival. Using Gansu Provincial Museum as an example, the museum rolled out a unique celebration for the Year of the Loong, running activities like dragon dances, lion dances, Taiping Drum dances, and a traditional costume runway.

The museums have also set up cultural markets where visitors are treated to displays of traditional crafts, including hand-carving and paper-cutting, drawing significant interest from holidaymakers. Many of them embraced the chance to engage directly with these crafts, delighted in the hands-on experience of making traditional handcrafts.
