China is willing to work with Mongolia to strengthen the alignment of development strategies, deepen exchange of experience in state governance, and fully tap the potential of cooperation to promote the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks during a meeting with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
Noting that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the 30th anniversary of the revision of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership, Wang called on both sides to understand and support each other on issues involving each other's core interests and major concerns, consolidate political mutual trust, and maintain close exchanges in various fields.
Commending Mongolia for placing the development of China-Mongolia relations as a diplomatic priority, Wang called for efforts to promote the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level to achieve common development and prosperity.
For her part, Battsetseg said Mongolia is willing to enhance high-level exchanges with China, strengthen political mutual trust, and deepen practical cooperation in various fields to push bilateral relations to yield more results.
