China is willing to work with Poland to enhance political mutual trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly practice multilateralism, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Saturday.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks while meeting with Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radoslaw Sikorski on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

Since diplomatic relations were established 75 years ago, China-Poland relations have maintained stable development, becoming increasingly mature and resilient, Wang noted.

He called on both sides to continue to adhere to mutual respect and trust, and jointly push bilateral relations to achieve greater development from a new starting point and reach a higher level.

China stands ready to work with Poland to support the United Nations in playing a central role, as well as jointly oppose hegemony and power politics, he said.

Sikorski, for his part, said Poland always firmly supports the one-China policy, vowing to enhance high-level exchanges with China, organize the meeting of the China-Poland Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee well and plan the next stage of cooperation in various fields.

"We look forward to China's support for the Central and Eastern European region's voice and representation in international affairs," said Sikorski.

Hailing Poland's friendly policy toward China, Wang said China is glad to see Poland accelerating its revitalization, and supports Poland in playing a greater role on global and regional stages.

Wang said China is willing to work with Poland to hold a series of mechanism meetings at an early date, coordinate key cooperation in various fields and strengthen exchanges of experience in state governance.

Describing Poland as the "bellwether" in cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries, Wang pledged to strengthen connectivity and jointly build high-quality Belt and Road cooperation with Poland.

The two sides also exchanged views on issues of common concern such as the Ukraine crisis.
