The Egyptian Army has established a logistics zone on the Egyptian side of the city of Rafah to facilitate the transfer of humanitarian aid to the devastated Gaza Strip. The area under construction is marked by speculation over the possibility that it could host Palestinian refugees, a claim that Egypt has denied, the governor of North Sinai said on Saturday.
The zone will be used to store and prepare aid for delivery while protecting it from inclement weather, Governor Mohamed Abdel-Fadil Shousha said during a press conference in Arish.
