Five people were confirmed dead as a landslide struck a village in east Afghanistan's Nuristan province on Sunday, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported Monday.
The landslide took place in the wake of heavy rain on Sunday night, the report said, adding that at least 20 houses were destroyed or badly damaged.
