Beaming brightly in Zhangye, Gansu Province, an ancient town scenic spot has been lit up at night in the run up to the Lantern Festival. The celebration – which is called “Yuanxiao Jie” in Chinese – is a culmination of Chinese New Year celebrations for many, taking place on February 24 this year. The Wulan Ancient Town drew visitors out for a charming light show ahead of this weekend's festivities.
